With a privileged location in the Municipal Market of Silves and a pleasant terrace overlooking the River Arade, Tasca da Praça is a restaurant of choice for those who want to taste the local gastronomy, in a relaxed and familiar atmosphere.

Our menu is simple, unpretentious, with comfort food and Algarve cuisine, in order to allow a quick and pleasant service to those who visit us.

At Tasca da Praça you can enjoy the iconic Roast Chicken, cooked on a rotisserie skewer in a modern, sustainable and healthy way. A variation on charcoal-roasted chicken, for which Silves Marketplace has a great tradition, which is in no way inferior in flavor and quality. It is finished with a sauce of your choice: piri piri or another sauce.

There is also fresh fish grilled, also in a sustainable way, without charcoal, smoke or toxins, on a lava stone grill, which ensures that the fish retains its natural fat and is very juicy. All year there is Sea Bass and Salmon.

Other comfort food specialties on our menu are Fried Cuttlefish, Portuguese Pork Meat Stew, Codfush "à Brás" and Algarvian Cuttlefish and Shrimp Bean Stew.

For vegetarians, we also have two healthy and tasty options: Caesar Salad and Quinoa with Vegetables (Vegan).

Once we only have a service area on the terrace (no indoor area) and the capacity of our kitchen is limited due to its small size, we only serve lunch or dinner, depending on the time of year.

Between July and August we serve dinner and the rest of the year lunch.
